Close the gap

Your business has moved forward. Has your online presence?

A referral, an ad, a Google search, an AI answer. However a buyer gets to you, the next questions are similar: Do you do what I need? Can I trust you? Is it worth a conversation?

  1. 01 / Discovery

You’re capable of more than buyers can find.

Your services have evolved. Your website and business listings still tell an older story.

  2. 02 / Confidence

Your best answers never leave the sales call.

The expertise, comparisons, and customer proof that build trust are missing when buyers research you.

  3. 03 / Conversion

More traffic meets the same unanswered questions.

You’re investing in attention. The information and next steps underneath it need work.

Inside the work

A good review changes what you do next.

Consider an office technology company with a capable managed IT team, and an online presence that still mostly says “copiers.” Here’s how I would investigate the gap.

Illustrative scenario · Not a client result or live engine output

Field notes / sample 01

When your capabilities outgrow your reputation

The buyer’s question

“Can this company manage our IT, or does it mainly handle printers?”

Google / hypothetical finding

Easy to find by name. Hard to evaluate for IT.

The company appears in branded results. Its managed IT page lists services but leaves support coverage, onboarding, and responsibilities unexplained.

Being found does not answer the buying question.

AI answers / hypothetical finding

A description that misses the full business.

A sampled answer describes a copier provider. The sources behind it emphasize print; credible information about managed IT is thin.

Inspect each engine and its sources separately.

The decision

Verify the actual IT offering, then repair the information buyers and engines can use. One missing AI mention alone would not justify the project.

The value is in the diagnosis, the decisions, and the improvements that actually ship.

The Five Visibility Checks

Five plain questions. A much clearer picture.

We assess the business broadly, then agree on the work that matters most. Every check leads to evidence, a priority, and a practical next step.

Let’s look at your business

01Can they read you?

Can Google and relevant answer engines reach your important pages and read the information on them? I check access, indexing eligibility, readable content, and avoidable technical barriers.

Google, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity have different controls. We check the relevant systems individually.

You receive

Documented barriers, agreed corrections, and verification of what was fixed.

02Do they understand your business?

Who you are. What you offer. Who and where you serve. I compare your website and agreed public records, then examine how sampled answers actually describe the business.

You receive

Clearer company and service information, corrected inconsistencies, and a record of any remaining inaccuracies.

03Do you answer buyers’ questions?

We use sales conversations, customer questions, and available search data to identify what buyers need to know: fit, cost, implementation, alternatives, limitations, and proof.

I turn your team’s expertise into useful pages with a clear path to a conversation.

You receive

Agreed pages built around real buying questions and the evidence needed to answer them.

04Does the world vouch for you?

Do records outside your website agree with it? Do credible sources support your claims? Consistent profiles establish identity. Customer evidence, relevant reviews, and credentials provide different kinds of support.

You receive

Priority corrections to agreed records and a practical plan for closing evidence gaps.

05Can you prove it’s working?

We establish a baseline, repeat comparable tests, and connect observable inquiries to sales feedback. You can see what changed and what remains uncertain.

  • Work completed
  • Visibility & accuracy
  • Qualified inquiries

You receive

A record of completed work, platform-specific observations, and commercial outcomes where they can be measured.

The engagement

A clear scope. Work put into place.

Start with the whole picture. Agree on the priorities. Build the foundation on a suitable existing website.

Assessment + implementation + retesting

Search & AI Foundation

A defined engagement to investigate the gaps, implement agreed improvements, and assess what changes.

$10,000 total

Ninety days for assessment and implementation, then an included re-test ninety days after the agreed work goes live

Visibility Review included

Book an Introductory Call

Standard scope agreed in writing before work begins. The timing commits us to a documented follow-up; it does not guarantee rankings, AI recommendations, or revenue.

What the standard engagement includes

  • A documented baseline. Five checks, selected buyer questions, relevant platforms, and competitor comparisons.
  • Substantive page improvements. Two new or rebuilt pages, plus specified corrections elsewhere.
  • The supporting foundation. Agreed technical, business-information, and inquiry-tracking improvements.
  • Verification and follow-through. Changes verified when they ship, an included re-test ninety days after the work goes live, agreed refinements within scope, and a clear handoff of work, observations, and next priorities.

One existing company website, with agreed markets and priorities. Rebuilds, multiple brands, substantial custom development, CRM reconstruction, and broad earned-media work are scoped separately.

Want an independent diagnosis first? $2,500.

The Visibility Review gives you the evidence, priorities, and an implementation brief your team or agency can use. If you continue with the standard Foundation, the review is included in the $10,000 total. Your remaining investment is $7,500. If a Website Rebuild is the right recommendation, the full $2,500 credits toward that separately quoted project instead.

After the re-test

Visibility Re-test

$199 per month · cancel any time

Optional, and only after the included re-test, which needs no subscription. Each month I repeat the agreed checks and buyer questions, compare them against your baseline, and report what changed and what needs attention. No grades, no included fixes. Smaller fixes are quoted separately.

  1. 01 / Establish

Agree on what matters. You provide access, a decision-maker, and time with people who know the business.

  2. 02 / Implement

Turn findings into work. I lead the diagnosis, set the priorities, and direct implementation. Where specialist support is needed, I coordinate it and personally verify the completed work. You have one accountable lead throughout: me.

  3. 03 / Revisit

Make the next decision. Ninety days after the agreed work goes live, we re-test: completed changes, comparable tests, inquiry evidence, and whether more work is worthwhile.

Why Haney Strategy

The business behind the search matters.

I’ve spent 27 years across sales, marketing, technology, and AI, with experience inside SMB, mid-market, and Fortune 500 environments.

That changes the questions I ask. Is the offering clear? Is the evidence credible? Will the next improvement help a buyer make a decision? Does the opportunity justify the investment?

Sometimes the right answer is a focused project. Sometimes it’s a smaller correction for your existing agency, a more pressing sales problem, or waiting. The review should make that decision clearer.

“He has a unique ability to see the bigger picture and align strategies to deliver results that truly make an impact.”

Before we talk

Fair questions. Straight answers.

We already pay for SEO. Is this different?
Good SEO remains part of the foundation. This engagement also examines how specific answer engines access and describe your business, which sources support their answers, and what changes after improvements. We start by understanding what your current provider already covers and where a useful gap exists.
Can you guarantee rankings or AI recommendations?
No. Platforms control their results, and answers vary by question and context. I commit to a defined scope of work, documented testing, and an honest account of the evidence. A completed fix, an AI citation, and a qualified inquiry are three different results.
Do we need a new website?
Often the existing site can support the work. We check access, editing flexibility, technical condition, and conversion paths before committing. If a rebuild is the more sensible investment, I’ll explain why and scope it separately, with overlapping work accounted for. If a Website Rebuild is the right recommendation, the full $2,500 review credits toward that separately quoted project instead.
Should we stop running ads?
No blanket rule. Clear information, credible evidence, and working inquiry paths strengthen what you already spend. A controlled paid test can run while organic visibility develops. The principle is to strengthen the foundation before automatically scaling the budget.
What happens after the re-test?
You receive the completed work, the re-test, and the remaining priorities. From there, three doors. The optional Visibility Re-test, $199 a month, repeats the agreed checks and buyer questions, compares them against your baseline, and reports what changed and what needs attention; no grades, no included fixes, and you can cancel any time. Smaller fixes are quoted separately. Broader, ongoing leadership needs belong in the Fractional CMTO seat, and we can sort out which fits on a call.
